Our Story
Built for the miles you still want to put in
Most knee sleeves are made for a gym. Ours is made for a Tuesday.
For the walk to the mailbox, the third lap around the garden, the flight with the tight seats, the eight hours on your feet that nobody is paying you overtime for. That is where knees actually get tested, and that is what WENOSA is built around.
Why we started
Our founder spent years watching a parent turn down invitations. Not because of anything dramatic. Just because a knee made the walk from the parking lot feel longer than it used to be.
The drawer filled up with fixes. Neoprene braces that felt like a heating pad strapped to your leg. Cheap slip-ons that rolled down by lunchtime. Rigid contraptions with hinges and straps that took two hands and a decision to put on. Every one of them worked for about a week, then lived in the drawer.
The problem was never support. The problem was that none of it was comfortable enough to wear all day, and a sleeve you do not wear does nothing.
So we started over, from the fabric out.
Why bamboo
We tried neoprene. It supports well and traps heat like a wetsuit. We tried standard nylon blends. They breathe better and feel like plastic against skin after a few hours.
Bamboo-derived viscose was the one that kept winning our wear tests. It is soft in a way synthetic fabric never quite manages, it moves moisture away from your skin instead of holding it there, and it stays comfortable in the summer when other sleeves start to feel like punishment.
We blend it with elastane for four-way stretch, so the sleeve moves when you bend instead of fighting you.
That is the whole reason bamboo is on our label. Not as a buzzword. Because it is the material people were still wearing at 6pm.
What we obsess over
• Fit that stays put. Silicone grip bands at the top so the sleeve does not creep down your calf every time you stand up. This is the number one complaint about every sleeve on the market, and it is the first thing we solved.
• Anatomical shaping. Graduated compression, a contoured knit around the kneecap, and flat seams where your leg bends. No bunching behind the knee.
• Real sizing. We measure thighs, not wishes. Our size chart is built from [NUMBER] real measurements, and we would rather you order the right size once than send two back.
• Wear-tested, not spec-tested. Every version goes to a group of [NUMBER] testers for [X] weeks before it goes into production. If it stops feeling good on day four, it does not ship.
Who we make this for
People in their [40s / 50s / 60s and beyond] who are not done being active. Gardeners. Walkers. Nurses and teachers and tradespeople. Grandparents who would like to keep up. Anyone who has noticed that their knees have opinions now and would rather work with them than around them.
We are not a medical device company. We do not diagnose anything and we do not promise miracles. What we make is comfortable, well-built compression apparel that supports your knee so the day feels a little easier.

Where we are headed
The knee sleeve is the start. We are building a full mobility system — [elbow, ankle, wrist, calf, back] — designed to work together, in the same fabric, with the same fit standards.
If there is something you wish existed, tell us. A lot of what we have built came from a customer email.
